Dear Friends,
  September is here.
  In a month's time we will have celebrated Labor Day, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, and Simchat Torah!

   First things first. At our Shabbat Evening Service (7:30 PM) we will get ready for the New Year, musically, and with reflections on both Labor Day and Selichot, the penitential prayers that are traditionally recited just before the holidays. 
    
   Keep in mind that next Shabbat coincides with Rosh Hashanah. 
   For those who would like to follow along from home, prayer books will be available from tomorrow in the blue bin on the school porch.
    As explained in our holiday letter, there are no tickets, and no charge for guests, who are more than welcome (donations gratefully received). Please give Virginia (vegitter@aol.com) the names of your guests for security purposes.
