Dear Friends,
  There is no denying that our Shabbat-Yom HaShoah Service (7:30 PM) is on the somber side. 
  That is the case every year, since the music and readings are chosen in the spirit of Holocaust commemoration.
  
   By contrast, next week's service is on the celebratory side, as we celebrate Yom Ha'Atzmaut-Israel Independence Day. This Sunday both the Tots and the School will have special Israel programs.

   The close of the 20th century brought all kinds of developments in Israel, good and bad, as we will chronicle at our Shabbat Morning Torah Study (10:00 AM).
