Social Action efforts at Adas Emuno are currently focused on helping families in need through ongoing donations to local food pantries, most notably the Center for Food Action in Bergen County and the Leonia Food Pantry. Beginning in September, with our high holiday services, we implement a food drive that continues through Sukkot. Recently, due to an increased need for donations in the community, we have extended our collection of non-perishable food items through Spring. Our religious school students are also encouraged to participate in this program by bringing a canned good or other grocery item to school each week.

Another program we are involved in is volunteering to prepare and serve meals for one week each year to families in residence at a local shelter. Members from Adas Emuno work in conjunction with other houses of worship in Leonia to provide this much needed service to the community.
